Is it normal for friends to change?

I have been best friends with the same girl for many years and recently she started to talk to guys and she has stopped telling me anything - whereas before she told me everything! and i'm finding it really hard to tell her things now as it is a bit awkward and i really don't want it to be that way, what could i do to make it normal again? i want my best friend back!

  • no matter how much we hate it everything and everyone changes you have to move on with the flow, life is like a river going one direction no matter how much you try to go the opposite way to the past this river with take you away to its usual direction stop fighting the river and go with it. Talk to her about the changes you see in your friendship and tackle it keep moving on. Stop waiting for the past person to come back because you will only miss to see the person right before you, shes flowing with the river to the future and you are looking for her in the opposite direction in the past stop it, see and accept the person before you now.

Unfortunately friendships do change, it's actually quite common for two people to grow apart. Your lives lead you down different paths and sometimes people just move on with life. But I think if you should explain to your best friend how you feel, and tell her you want to be close again.

Sometimes friendships grow apart. Maybe things have changed between the two of you or maybe there was an experience that she didn't tell you about that affected her, but she's holding it against you?
