    My step dad is this way. He will get annoyed with little things that most people wouldn't give two shots about. Unfortunately, I'm kind of the same way he is now in that aspect.

    The closer you are to someone (in your situation the creator of you) the uglier they allow themselves at time to appear to you

    Yup, my mom looks for things to be angry about, even if it's the littlest thing and takes it out on me. I'm sure it's normal for most families though.
