Is it normal for clerks to always ask "are you having a party"?

Seems like every time I go grocery shopping the clerk sees my items and says "whoa, you must be having a party!"....but no, I'm not. IIN?

I get the same thing. I finally got sick of it and burned down the store.

That'll teach'em to comment on my buying paper hats, cake decorations, candles, streamers and kazooos at the party store checkout!!!

Maybe the clerk has a crush on you. They want you to say "Yes, a party for 2. Me and you baby." You could be getting laid, if you could read between the lines.

Yeah. Don't take it personally. There's a clerk at my grocery store who remembers me and tells me the status of the TV show that has a main character that I look like.

Threaten his life next time. It's a real simple way to eradicate all of the "raccoons" in your "crawlspace". N'oome sayin'?

    you are probably buying:
    beer cans\soda cans
    party platters
    bags of chips
    plastic cups/plates/bowls
    crackers
    cheese
    AND OTHER PARTY ITEMS.
