Is it normal for christians to have sex?

I would love to hear from some Christians who both do and don't have sex with their boyfriend/girlfriend and why they made that choice. For me the conflict between my religious beliefs, my sex drive, and my more open-minded girlfriend Is one of the biggest mental struggles.

Do whatever feels right. Don't do shit because someone else talked you in. Just do whatever feels right in your heart.

    Yes it's normal - if they're married.

What is popular is not always right; what is right is not always popular.

At the risk of sounding facetious, 'Christians' would surely die out if they did not have sex and reproduce.

Surly sex and the pleasure it brings is one of (your) god's greatest gifts to us.

That or it's Satan's gift that must only be used to create offspring, otherwise you earn a one way ticket to hell. It all depends on what flavor of Christianity you prefer.

Satan is a necessary evil that was gods favorite angel. The more I think about why god would cast out his favorite angel before he did anything wrong really only makes me think it was in purpose to maintain the balance between good and evil after god may have believed we would eventually eat the fruit anyways. Look at what the antics of the devil do for god.. Bring his followers closer to him. It's sounds strange but we are not and never will know the purpose of god whole plan with us so is it such a stretch to think the devil is a part if gods plan?

You know, I feel like it's necessary to mention that I am completely athiest and I actually don't believe a shred of what your saying. I was being sarcastic. Hence the mention of the many flavors of Christianity.

Yeah that was completely evident when you commented on this thread to make fun of us who believe in something.

If we assume the Biblical God is omniscient (knows all), as I understand most Christians believe, then the devil would HAVE to be part of a 'plan' - why else would God create an angel he knew was destined to betray him? Why would God create a forbidden fruit he knew was destined to be eaten by Adam and Eve thanks to the temptation of the devil he created?

(Although I'm agnostic so it doesn't matter much to me)

I'm a Christian and I have sex with my boyfriend. We've been dating a little under two years - we also lost our virginities to each other. It was a big decision that we wished we would have talked about more first. I personally regretted having sex so soon into our relationship - especially because it was my virginity. However, I was and am very comfortable being with him in all ways, he is my best friend, lover, blah blah blah. I think that if you are in love with someone that you are with, and are completely comfortable with them, then having sex with them is fine. Go for it! :)

Thank you for your response, my girlfriend feels very similar to you. We were each other's first and she says that she waited for the one she loves and wants to be with which is good enough for her.

I'm a christian and I have sex with my girlfriend... I'm a girl too ;)

Seriously though. I figured since we can't really legally get married anyway, why wait? And it's already done, so we keep doing it.

Hey, of course we have sex, especially if we intend to get married. In my case, I did not. However, if I had it to do over again, I probably would. Just because you have sex with someone doesn't mean that you are the only one. Do what is right for you and it sounds like you want to but just wanted confirmation that it would be ok. Well, I am giving you permission. Go for it.

Sex is normal, but only in marriage, other than that sex is a sin

I don't see why not? Christians are just like the rest of us--human. I'm sure that some Christians don't mind having pre-marital sex and others might follow a stricter code of no sex before marriage.

Sex is something you should enjoy. When you are ready for sex, you will know it. I never knew how a woman was suppose to be a virgin until she was married and then on her honeymoon night turn into a wild sex kitten.

yes the rebellion of Satan, of Adam & Eve, is not outside of God's control if you believe He is omniscient and omnipotent.

Regardless of what anyone tells you how you should feel, do it when you are feeling relaxed and 100% comfortable with it. You should never regret having sex with someone, and if you think you will then you need to wait until you're sure.
