Is it normal for catholic guys to date protestant girls?

I'm catholic and my girlfriend is Protestant although she's the one who despises my breed and I'm cool with hers. Would this cause a major conflict in future? Or would she let me remain catholic and learn to love me for the person I am and not for the denomination I belong to?

I think people should just be tolerant of others, if you're religious beliefs don't bother her and vice verse, I both of you should be fine. If she is really bothered by you being catholic, then I honestly believe that will cause conflicts in the future.

If she despises catholics that has to be hard to take. On the other hand being exposed to you as a boyfriend may break through her bigotry, and if not you could tell her to shove off. I'd never marry someone who hated my background however.

Gosh darn'it! I thought we went over this subject 4 or 6 centuries ago! Elizabeth Tudor, be nice to Mary~! She's your cousin! And Philip II of Spain, stop picking on Elizabeth! Gosh we're going over this problem again?

I think it shouldn't be too much of a problem. After all, you both believe in the same god. Just in a slightly different way, but overall the difference is not that big. Accept each other for who and what you are and find a way inbetween the two religions.

You both are humans. Isn't that enough?
