Is it normal for breasts to lactate during puberty or something?

So my sister has had this happening for the last week she told me.

She is only 14, and in the past week she has noticed if she squeezes either of her nipples they'll lactate slightly. No she is not pregnant nor sexually active.

She says they do not hurt at all or anything. Is it normal for this to happen during puberty? She was near flat chested last year and her breasts have grown to a Bcup so there has definitely been development going on. Could this just be a side effect of that?

    Switch to organic hormone-free milk.

    Some women are sensitive enough to start lactating if there's too many hormones in the milk.

    I should know since it happened to my own sister at age 12. as soon as mom switched to hormone-free milk the issue went away. even now as an adult she has to be careful about what milk she drinks because she's sensitive to the hormones many farms use

      thank you, I'll look into this! She has a doctor appointment this Friday so hopefully she'll know more then too.

      @chewy she is definitely not pregnant... She isn't sexually active and even then based on what I know lactation usually doesn't occur until towards the end of pregnancy although can be as early as 15 weeks from what I've read. If she WAS pregnant I'm sure there'd be signs by now - she is still as thin as she's always been.

    I really don't think it's Hormones in the Milk! It's In Your genes! Teen Girls who often have From B to F cup often have more hormonal drive and contain milk in them. True in order to more actively feed a baby is to have been pregnant but a non pregnant Young Woman of Big Breasts size contain milk and can be massage prepped to breast feed someone else's Baby. This is also why most Big Breasted Young Women have had the role of Babysitting!

    I'm a virgin and I've never lactated. I would of probably freaked out! I agree with Angel, it's probably evil hormones in the milk.

      lactating doesn't always mean pregnancy.

      Virgins can lactate if they drink hormone-laced milk.

      It's one of the unfortunate side-effects of the use of hormones to over-stimulate milk production in cattle... those hormones usually get passed on in the milk and those who are sensitive to them can themselves start lactating sans pregnancy.

          well not full-on milk but dribbling.
