Is it normal for an outgoing person to act shy around a crush?

I am in the same situation rite now I am a outgoing person I am very talkative with everyone I don't have a problem talking to anyone but for some strange reason when ever my crush is around I don't talk at all my friends have even told y don't u talk when ur he's around n I said Idk y then they also said u r an outgoing and talkative person but not when hes around I would like to talk to my crush but Idk wat to say to him me n him were really gd friends in the beginning we would hang out and talk all the time but as soon as we found out that we liked eachother we don't hangout or talk alot like we used to in the beginning it's like were not even gd friends anymore like we were in the beginning so my advice to u is talk to the person n find out wat he likes to do n take it frm there I no I should be taking my own advice

Yes, it's normal. In my life this happened a few times: I (I am not shy anymore although was when young) would notice a worker (usually a cashier) at a supermarket etc., and although I could chat up anyone and she could too (and I'd seen her do it on numerous occasions), the moment I'd go to her line, we both couldn't even keep eye contact with the other, we were too into each other to be rational.

I do the same thing. And whenever I try to act normal towards them I look more retarded. I just get so nervous. Sometimes I'll be going over what to say in my mind, but then mess that up to. When the moment comes, if I see them, I either don't say anything at all, or I say something that just sounds plain stupid. Then I have those other moments where I come across kinda rude. Its embarrassing! Oh yeah, my voice changes sometimes too! Suddenly my already to begin with soft voice, becomes a lot more childlike and quiet.

Well, before mine somehow died in an unfortunate act of me playing with a butcher knife, I myself was very shy around my crush too. It's normal, really. Most people get a little timid around the people they like.

It happens. I'm a guy, but around some women that I have interest in I'm alot more conservative. but don't be awkward. just talk.

Just talk to him like u would anyone else. Just because you like him doesn't make him different from any other person.

Yeah, sounds pretty normal. I was always like that around my crushes, but I got over of it by acting like they were just another friend. I used to blush really badly, too, but I would just try to keep calm. :P
