Is it normal for an only child, to "adopt" ppl as there sibling???

Well, like how my title suggest, im an only child, and I've discovered that When i met someboby that is a a good bit younger or older then me. I tend to adopt them as my "lil sister or brother"

It's like just a cutsy thing i tend to do, i think i stems from my desire of having a close bond with someone like that of sibling.

it generally is ppl that are 4+ years apart froom me. im 22.

    It's because deep inside you've always wanted a sister or brother, and since you don't have one you seem attach to other people in that sense. Normal shuggy.

    i do that do, theres this 7 year old girl with her brother that live down the street from me, and i consider them my baby brother and sister, practically since ive watched them grow up and babysit them alot

    i just love kids

    It's normal. Some people are the opposite and instead of a sibling, they look for a parent figure.

    Totally normal, you've never had a sibling so you want that bond. I have an older brother, but I've always wondered what having a twin would be like lol

    It is COMPLETELY normal! I am an only son with two sisters and I can relate. I had two best friends who I grew up with and I've ALWAYS treated them as the brothers I've never had.
