Is it normal for an old soul to think like this

Ever since I can remember I have had people tell me I am an old soul. Now that I am older and have meet at least one other "old soul" I wonder if we think alike. I would just ask him directly but that's a deep conversation I'm not comfortable getting into with him. So I turn to you guys. If you are an old soul please reply!
The way I think;
.we all live in the same physical world but mentally we are grouped onto certain worlds (groups) and it seems like no one notices which one they belong to but you know where everyone belongs, including yourself .
.not only do you know about these groups of people but you complete understand them. It is easy to put yourself in their shoes or even pretend to be any group you want.
.since you understand it you feel pity (and any other type of emotion) but no pity as well because you understand one point of view and another at the same time.
.you hate everyone and want to save everyone.
.you understand suicide but not sad or anything
.everything you do is almost pointless but still tries to change the world.
Just thoughts and outlooks like that's. it's hard to explain but maybe some of you will understand. If you do understand let me know, if your an old soul and don't understand share your outlook.

    Being an old soul is like being born with wisdom of the ages.

    I have seen kids with more wisdom than their grandparents and adults with no wisdom at all.

        Personally I think it comes from natural skill in critical thought. It leads a person to contemplate the finer details of everything in life, particularly of their own thoughts.

        If you really want to explore this, I suggest reading up on "ego awareness", "critical thought" and "mindfulness".

        It's nice to see people exploring such things. :)
