Is it normal for an ex to leave up facebook pictures?

My ex girlfriend broke up with me on March 31. At the time, I wanted her back. On August 10, I called her to tell her I was moving on because she was treating me like crap. It's been almost 4 months since then and I recently looked on her Facebook profile for the first time since I moved on. She still has all our pictures up. I had unfriended her and took my pictures of us down but she still has hers up. Of course we don't talk anymore. Is this normal and does this mean anything?

Last night I had the strangest dream,
    I went on social media,
In a lame attempt to see ya,
You left our pictures up on your home screen,
Didn't want no-one to troll you,
    What does that mean?
    And you said:

    Ain't nuthin gonna be implied,
    Not takin these photos down,
Oh no, They're there for social provin!

Sorry OP. But you've got to keep on movin'.

I think you're over-thinking. One day, when you've moved on completely, you may be glad those pictures exist because you can look back at them with fondness and remembrance.

  • It means you shared some good times together, ones that weren't worth deleting, even though they're over now.

  • It's normal. I've never deleted pictures or unfriended anyone. I don't see any point to even doing it. Deleting people on facebook seems like something a little kid does to show people they are mad at them.

Oh and she still has the captions that say stuff like "me and my <3" and "look what my boyfriend bought me!" I find that odd especially since we dont communicate anymore but I guess she decided to leave everything untouched.

Ive read everywhere that you should delete pictures of an ex. When I find someone else, I don't want them thinking I haven't moved on. I actually made my pictures so that I'm the only one that can see them. I didn't delete them however I did untag myself from her photos. You all make good points. Part of the reason I posted this was because I did miss her at the time of the post. It's tough to get over your first love and sometimes I do miss her but usually I'm ok.

So you claim you moved on but felt the need to look at her Facebook ? Sounds like you haven't moved on far enough...
