Is it normal for a young lady to wear old lady house dresses?

A while back, I was just starting out on my own and an old friend had a bunch of household items he offered to me. His mother had just died and left a house full of stuff, and he had no need for it so he let me take it.

In one of the boxes was some of her old woman house dresses. At first I thought...eeew!! Not cool, and they belong to a dead lady!! I was going to throw them away. Then one day it was hot and I said, fuck it, I'm going to sport this thing like a G.

It felt awesome!! I felt so carefree, and the buttons up the front were a nice feature!! Not to mention the pockets!! OH the pockets!! Perfect height, extra large, simply AMAZING!! I felt the wind up my whole body, not just the lower half like with most younger-people's skirts and dresses!! I had a veritable wind tunnel going on underneath my light cotton dress!!

    How young are you? I think it's normal, though. I would wear those, but ones that I'd buy on my own, not a dead lady's.

    It you feel comfortable in it. Here where I live we don't throw away the dead's clothes we re-use it

    Absolutely.

    I purchased one once. Short sleaves, knee-length and made of white terry-cloth, I would put it on after a shower. I used it on and off for a couple of years, until I saw my reflection the wrong way in the mirror. I thought ~what the turtle is going on here? why am I wearing matronly hideous clothing?~ Then I got rid of it and started wearing a silk robe instead. They are comfy and practical but seriously unflattering.

    And loads of young people wear old people clothes. Why they do is beyond me, but they do.
