Is it normal for a young adult to use a dating site?

I'm 19 and the relationship thing has never happened for me yet. People keep telling me that I'm young and there's no need to rush but seriously, I don't want to be an amateur at dating by 25. You're supposed to get your experimenting out of the way when you're younger so that when you're older you can do the serious searching right? I've been thinking about searching on some online sites or going to some community thing (no idea what though). Is this a weird/bad idea, though? I feel like if I try the majority of other people doing it will be much older than me.

    Make a profile as an average looking girl first. Your inbox will fill in 2 days. Make an account of a male model and it will take a year to fill it up. Just to give yourself an idea of what to expect from online dating where ugly fat girls have the self esteem of movie stars.

    You are better off walking directly up to hot chicks and saying "put your number in my phone" when they say "why?" Say "because I said so" you'll get laid in a weekend.

    I have done some on-line dating and honestly? Not worth it. People don't take shit seriously and how can they? It's just people being fake and what not. I can't even trust people. Guys are constant pervs always asking for some pic, and girls are all f*cking sluts on their...actually I'm not going to say all but a majority. On top of that, everyone is quick to say "I love you"....and you haven't even met. I think it's not worth it which is why I stopped and told everyone to get a life. I thought it would be a totally different experience. Boy was I wrong.

    Hmm I wouldn't but thats just me.. A girl at my school went on plentyoffish (think thats the name) and now everybody makes fun of her for it.

    But do what you want although you should try to date a girl that knows you in real life.. Online dating is a hassle trust me >.>
