Is it normal for a typical 4th grader to know about sexual stuff?

I am living with my family, which includes my sis. She is currently in 4th grade, same as her friend. They are studying the same school, hang out a lot. However, once, my sis told me that her friend knows a lot about sexual stuff. My sis oftenly talks about that with her friend, but I think that it is influencing her the wrong way. So, is it normal for a 4th grader to know about that kind of stuff? I mean, like, isn't the friend to young to know that?

      That is the grade they teach in school, with parents permission, they teach the girls about their cycle and teach the boys about ejaculation. In fifth they come together and teach about the birds and the bees. Speaking from my experience from my school.

    Why wouldnt 4 th graders know about sex at 9 years old ?
    9 year old girls get the HPV shots and they start getting their periods too at 9 and 10 years old.
    Kids experiment and discover themselfs at 4 years old.
