Is it normal for a step-father to blindfold his step-daughter ?

I get severe willies when I heard about something that my girlfriend and her step-father did two weeks ago.

He was visiting; and she was in his hotel room the day he was leaving and he blindfolds her, gets a 'safe word' from her, and then tells her to 'not move a f-in muscle.' Then rummages around the room for a while, and eventually he puts a paddle in her hand and asks her what it is. And then takes the blindfold off.

There was no paddling, no sex, no anything else.

Yet, I still view it as S&M play, and I consider S&M to be sexual in nature.

It was explained to me as a practice in 'witness consciousness' and self-discovery.

I think this is really sick; especially considering the step-father is a known sex-addict, made a pass at her older sister, and he cheated on her mother a few months into their marriage.

Is this normal behavior ? On either part ?

    1. How old is your girlfriend? She may be above the age of consent.
    2. Her stepdad is not her bio-dad so no incest problem there.

    What 2 consenting adults do may be weird, but if they are both ok with it, then it's ok in my opinion. (You didn't say how old she is - minors are NOT ok!) The problem is when it hurts others...

    No that's not normal. Just because there isn't anything sexual going on right now, doesn't mean there won't be in the future. Sounds like he is slowly leading her into it, getting her comfortable with it and making her think it's okay. She needs to stay out of that situation or things will get bad.
