Is it normal for a sister and brother to squeeze/slap each other's bum

Today my friend told me that she and her brother used to squeeze each other's butts. I thought it was strange and my friend could tell I thought this so she tried to cover it up by saying it was more of a pinch and slap than a squeeze. I asked her at what age she and her brother used to do this because if it was when they were little you know kids don't know any better and they find that kind of stuff funny. She kind of hesitated before she answered and said it was when they were younger but I don't believe it. I think it was until fairly recently. She is now 26 and her brother is 22.

I come from a family of sisters so I don't know is squeezing/slapping of butts normal behaviour between a brother and sister? When I was little my sisters and I used to joke around like that a bit but we're all girls and we definitely don't do that anymore because we're all in our 20s.

    It's normal, my sister and I used to play slap ass all the time.. She'd slap my ass and run away, I'd chase and it would turn i to play fighting.

      I think the difference is, are they playing or are they trying to hold power over you? Do you consent to this kind of play and do you feel safe saying when it's enough? Do you feel like your sibling would stop if you asked or like they'd tell you that your ass is theirs and they can do what they want with it?

      These kinds of questions help determine if it's normal vs. creepy.

      Oh I know this girl pretty well so I'm sure that they only do this because they think it's funny and there's nothing more to it than that. At least I hope that's all there is to it. My sister had a theory that maybe my fried has a crush on her brother but I think that's a little far fetched. The brother moved overseas a few years ago like before I met this girl so I've never actually seen the way they interact with each other. If she did/does have a crush on her brother we'd never know because who would admit something like that?

        True; but sometime people's personalities just click just like they grind against each other. If they weren't related maybe they might have been really close anyway. But if you haven't seen them together and only heard about it second hand there's realy not enough pieces to put anything solid together.

    My Brother is 21 years old and he keeps slapping my ass as if he is looking for my attention or want to play. He laugh a lot. I dont really feel comfortable and I told him already.He is unhappy when I dont play with him or ignore him. I just dont feel comfortable about this since I am 18 and his 21. I dont know what to do :/

    I can see where u'r coming from with u'r concerns but its pretty normal and I wouldn't worry too much about it.

    I've had incest relationships and believe me, smacks on the ass doesn't mean that they're shagging. lol I know siblings who cant stand the thought of even looking at their bro/sis and others who hug, kiss and playfight and there's nothing even remotely sexual going on. It all depends on the bond they have and some siblings are close and some not at all.

    I think if she's being honest you can just put it down to them experimenting when they were younger, but if u think its happened recently just discreetly bring it up some time and say u read about someone else doing it and u were curious to know what it was like. If u ask it when she's relaxed or tipsy and shes confident u wont freak out, she'll fess up. Either way if shes been doing it and enjoying it, u have to respect the fact thats its her body and her choice . Hope this helps! Axxx

      Yeah I thought it was odd too. Is that normal for a brother and sister to slap each other on the bum? As I said I don't have any brothers so I don't know.
