Is it normal for an Australian single guy and his friends to decide to go into a live sex show bar?

Here is the story:
They are traveling around Europe for a holiday and they are in Amsterdam. While searching for bars or a club to go to men on the streets are handing out free drink cards to a live sex show. Basically a bar where in the background, centre or where ever there are naked girls pleasuring each other or themselves. They then decided to go in for the free drinks and for a laugh. After they finished the drinks they left. All thinking it was funny/odd.

Apparently I have heard these sorts of places are common in Europe and often tourists go.

I was just wondering is it normal for a guy to go to a place like this once on a Europe holiday? Or is it perverted and not normal.

They are 20 years old.

    Well, obviously, as a european, my opinion will be biased.

    I say it's pretty normal.

    Let me explain:
    Premise 1: Yes, there are plenty of those places,
    Premise 2: Yes, many of them are in business for a long time.
    Premise 3: For a place to stay in business, they need to generate revenue.
    Premise 4: Visitors to a bar generate revenue where "more visitors" results in "more revenue".

    Conclusion: Yes, there's plenty of guys going to such places, to an extent that makes it pretty normal-
    Don't worry.

    Everyone wants a little novelty show. I regularly go to live sex shows but I wouldn't call myself perverted. Besides, ever seen Rollerbabies (1976)?

    I'm a girl and I'm just worried that my bf (the guy who went to the bar while he was single and hadn't met me) is perverted for going. But I'm thinking that it's what guys do in Europe and its normal?

      Usually in these bars you get free drink tickets but you either have to pay to actually get in or they give you one free drink as an incentive to get you in the door where they will then try and get you to pay to have sex with the strippers.

    I don't know your specific situation but sex bars can be pretty sketchy. Sketchy like linked to the mafia. So if it were me I'd stay away.

        Sex trafficking is a major issue even in Amsterdam. I'm not saying that every place is shady but if there are barred windows and the girls can't speak the local language... well that just a really depressing conclusion isn't it.
