Is it normal for a regular smoker to have a bad reaction from weed?

I smoke regularly (bongs, bowls, joints) and two nights ago I was at a friends house, chilling and smoking a joint, and when I stood up, I suddenly felt really dizzy. So anyways I needed to go home because it was getting late and it was a school night (lol) and I got in my car and started to drive out of the driveway. (I have driven high A LOT and have always been good at it.) Instantly it became obvious that I seriously couldn't drive and something was wrong so I pulled over. My head was pounding, my heart was RACING, i was sweating, and dizzy... I couldn't open my eyes because I couldn't see straight I was so f*cking dizzy. Then I started throwing up out the car door, every 5 minutes for 45 minutes and then my hands and feet fell asleep and I couldn't move them. I couldn't even lift up my arm to get my phone and call for help because I would throw up and start sweating more. At a couple points, I would get so weak I would forget to breath and would almost pass out. I was so panicked, scared and frantic. I literally thought I was dying, my heart was pounding so fast I thought I was having a heart attack. Eventually, after an hour and half in HELL i called my parents and told them I food poisoning and they came and got me and took me home.

Yes, most probable explanation if no one else who smoked the same stuff had a bad reaction.

Don't know why, don't know how, but people can develop allergic reactions to weed over time. The symptoms you've described sound exactly like that issue.

To anyone saying the shit was laced, you're dumb. Dealers don't lace weed unless it's for their own use, otherwise it's a loss of profit. It is possible to get too high and have a panic attack, contrary to popular belief it seems. It may have been grown improperly but that's not the same as lacing. Stop spreading shitty information people!

    Probably laced with fertilizer

It was probably laced with someone. Your friend needs to find a more honourable dealer.

Something similar happened to me. I used to smoke every day, then one day I smoked some of my buddies home grown, and it really messed me up. And not in a good way. My heart was racing, I couldn't catch my breath, I felt like I was going to pass out, and I felt nauseous. I didn't smoke again for almost two years. Now I only smoke socially, and that's only once in a while. If it happens again, I would say to give it a break, and see what happens.

This isn't right. There must have been more than weed in there.

Panic attack OR it depends where you got your weed from. Some dealers grow them themselves and sometimes arn't careful or knowledgeable on the subject. They may be using certain chemicals in the plant to keep bugs off or to kill mold. Or it could be that there was mold on the weed (which is common if you don't grow them right and can be hard to tell). It could have been laced but i really doubt that your "friends" would do that to you. Much less a dealer who would waste his drugs on some random teens. You know?

Either it was laced, or it exacerbated an underlying problem. I use to smoke regularly for over ten years and one day it triggered a panic attack. It was weird because I never was the type to get paranoid while high, but for some reason pot started to trigger them. And the only time I felt that way was when I was high. So I quit. And I really don't miss it at all.

Maybe you're getting sick. I've noticed if something is wrong (or right) with my body, mentally or physically, weed tends to amplify the symptoms.
