Is it normal for a non practicing muslim to cheat anytime he can?

My husband is a non practicing Muslim but selectively becomes one, such as he drinks plenty of alcohol, loves porn sites and cheats whenever he can with whoever he can. Yet he prohibits pork from being cooked in the house. He tries to make relationships with unsuspecting women wherin he promises to take them to his country and then return to the U.S. when he will divorce me but just says that to get more sex. He seems to have a driven fantasy to have two wives hungry for sex with him who willingly participate in a two wife one husband fantasy. Is that normal? he prohibits pork in the house but smokes, drinks and has all of the sex he can with whoever he can.

    Maybe I'm just over-reacting, but I would divorce anybody who cheated on me and even do a small fraction of sabotaging. The worst thing someone could do to me is marry me and then cheat.

      When you have children in the house and he is giving money and lots of it for expenses daycare, bills and is respectful when he is around its not that bad cause without him you would be SERIOUSLY struggling. If the children were not an issue i would be mad but when you are a Mom, your priorities change and you realize that not giving your children things that keep them safe and happy is the 'WORST" thing, as you say that can happen. You sound very immature.

        Though, I must say I take it back. The worst thing someone could do is not marry me and then cheat on me; it's marry me, have children with me, and then cheat on me. I also have to say, I admire the strength of someone in your situation, handling this the best way you can.

        I sound like I don't have children to worry about. You made no mention of children in your post, so don't try to make me look like an ass because I was misinformed. Everyone knows children make everything different. Obviously I wouldn't be so selfish if I had children involved.

      I am no longer with him because my daughter is school aged now. the preschool years are hard to afford so you need the money and the emotional support when they are small.

        It is the norm because the Muslim wife take a vow of ABSOLUTE OBEDIENCE upon marriage so may not object to her master's behavior but must in fact obey every deceision including staying in the house except with permission from her husband. that is why.

    It seems to me that many religious folks cherry-pick the aspects of their religion that fit in with the lifestyle they are willing to lead and reject others that conflict with it, especially as morals are not intrinsically linked to faith in a god(s).

      No I God forbid, I am NOT a Muslim. I did have a pre school aged child when this behavior began and its hard. I mean, the money he gave to the household was invaluable at that time because of the day care but now that she is school aged, i kicked him out in July so we are no longer together or living together.

    I don't know about Muslims specifically but I do know that people of other religions (myself included) are guilty of being selective in their obedience to God.

          I am not sure why you say his opinion is hateful. Islam is notorious for slavery especially sex slavery of women.             I'm suspecting he might be a Christian since he mentioned 'other religions,' but many muslims do pose as atheists or other non-muslims while they defend Islam-so you could be right on that.

            Muslims pull out the 'hate' card in order to stifle criticism and open discussion about Islam. Many of them are very committed to seeing their death cult gain supremacy over the whole world.

      I DO know about muslims specifically. women are shit to them. they have no human rights and must obey so islam and freedom are an oxymoron for a muslim. also to convert out of islam is death immediately so there are really no parallels in the civilized world. muslim women are prohibited from marrying anything other than a muslim man and a muslim man may marry 4 christian women at one time if he takes them to the mosque and supports them.

    I've only known three Muslim guys and they have all been the same way. Married but trying to fuck anything that moves, drink, smoke but don't eat pork.

    I don't get it, pork would be the first rule I broke, it's awesome.
