Is it normal for a mom to tell me to date someone who lives closer?

My boyfriend Lives 30 minutes away. My mom doesnt ever do things for me and I never ask for things. Well today I asked if she would pick me up if i went to his house. well she Flipped out on me and she very rudely told me, Find a boyfriend who lives closer. This made me really upset. Is that normal for a mom to say?

The only reason I can think of as to why she would do that is that she didn't want to drive that far. Flipping out was kinda rude though, if you're happy with this guy she should be happy for you.

This was the most logical response and I have a good feeling that this is the reason why she was rude.

    Move in with your partner.

Tell your mum that I want to cook her a meal and discuss this issue over dinner.

30 minutes isn't that far away. Your mom's reaction was uncalled for but maybe she's a busy person. Do you have a bicycle? Take that to go see him.

Or maybe it's just that time of the month.

Your mum sounds like a lazzy fat mom.

My dad would react the same way if I asked for a ride. Instead of asking me to get a new boyfriend, he would tell me to not have one at all.

Maybe she has a heavy schedule. Are you sure that your mum does absolutely nothing for you?
