Is it normal for a middle aged straight man to wear keds ?

tried deck shoes. pebbles entering shoe a real irritant. long distance walking hurt feet (I enjoy walking).
tried (and hated) Nike. Just do not like the look, plus
resent Nike marketing being so powerful and dictating what
young people wear with their ad campaigns. Keds are comfortable
for walking and love the simple appearance with its solid
colors. Then I noticed no one is wearing them, except for
the rare female. Why ? I like the shoes. I am not gay.
really love the way they coordinate with most casual outfits
of jeans or khakis.

It's normal. Fashion is meant to be enjoyed by anyone and everyone. Things like age, gender and sexuality don't matter. Some people will make a big deal out of others fashion sense, but those sorts of people don't matter. You shouldn't have to change what you like for others. If people have a problem with it then tell them to shut it.

I like to mens clothes and I'm not gay. I've met people with sticks up their bums and I've met people who were okay if with it. I wear them because they make me feel comfortable.
Just keep on being yourself and don't stop for anyone else:)

    Good Luck!

lol... I have a pair myself but then Im a girl not that it matters, they've lasted really long, they're comfortable, and I like the way they look. Nothing gay about that... I think what's abnormal here is how much you're worried... and I think why you don't see them much is because they're not as comercialized... I mean I had never heard of Keds in my life I just happened to find them at the shoe store
