Is it normal for a mid-30s man to only date women 5+ years younger?

Go back and read what you wrote. Do you think any self respecting 30 something would think of you as a prospect? But if you want a woman who is looking for a man only intersted in her looks and can only offer a bank account...you can find them at any age. But be wary of that mid life crisis. When the looks fade, will you still want that relationship? And if the money isn't enough, what else can you contribute?

Eh..., I kinda see what you're saying. And there's nothing wrong with liking younger women. But part of me agrees with howaminotmyself. I mean, especially if you're looking to settle down. Women in their 20's are probably a little more 'fresh', than a woman in her mid 30's might be. But you should also keep in mind that a lot of women(NOT ALL), in their 20's are still kinda young, so they(NOT ALL) might be in that phase where they just wanna have fun.

So... the 20 somethings, they might dress a little more sexier, and do themselves up a little more, because they actually have the time to do it. A lot of women that are in their 30's(NOT ALL) might have children from their prior marriage, and have a little bit more responsibilities. That could probably wear a person out after a little while. So you gotta give the women in their 30's a little credit too. Plus, all women are bound to change. Just as men are too. Those 20 something year olds that you're looking at now, might be smoking hot, but think about it. They could be just like those 30 something year olds that you call; 'bitter crones who look old and used', when they hit their 30's as well. A lot of stress build up could probably do it to ya. And who's to say you'll be some kind of spring chicken a few years down the line yourself? Don't be so judgemental. You need to see more than looks, especially if you're looking for a future wife.

Five years isn't that big of a difference. And traditionally men are usually older than the women in marriage. Even 10 years difference hasn't been uncommon.

The risk of dating girls who are younger then you would be that they will be after your money and seeing what you have described is exactly that. Women who are in their 30s are not angry at the world for not being married, many don't even want to... People are in different stages of life in any given age... I am in my mid 20s and i have friends who are both in their early 20s, mid 20s and early and late 30s. Everyone is different... I would say i am more mature for my age. My gf who is in her early 30s never been married and is partying like a rockstar... Some gfs of mine are already married in their early 20...
