Is it normal for a man who is 30+ to lie about his age to women?

I know a man who is in his late 30s who tries to date women in their mid-20s. Although I think he looks his age, he typically lies to women and tells them that he is only 31 or 32. I think he is being a tool for lying to the women because I assume that if he is lying about his age, he must be lying about other things as well.

Is it normal for a man who is 30+ to lie about his age to try to get women?

    Apparently some guys do this if they are afraid that a younger girl will think he is too old if he reveals his real age.

    There are a lot of creeps that do this. I've had a few guys try to approach me on top of lying about their age. Tbh it made me cringe.

    That's just a small lie, no one will get hurt. Someday when you will be in a real relationship you'll see that sometimes you do things just because it has to be done and those things sometimes are mot morale at all. SO if he's lying bout his age that's not a big deal.

    As harsh as it seems, I think if the women would judge a guy purely on his age then they deserve to be deceived (unless it was at the other extreme, and a guy underage was pretending to be older. That would suck). It's a bad strategy for him to use if he wants a proper relationship because as soon as the girl finds out she'll be annoyed that he lie, even if it was about something completely innocuous like age.

    I've always thought it was stupid for anyone to lie about their age. Why would I want to say I'm younger than I am? Then people would just look at me and think "wow..you look way old dude!" If anything, lie and say your older and reap the compliments..

    As far as picking up dumb chicks or one night stands goes, it's pretty normal to lie about just about anything and everything. If she's dumb enough to fall for it then I don't have much pity for her.

    But to try to use that tactic to find a woman to have a relationship with? No. Stupid.

      This.^ Guys lie about all number of things to get with girls, age is no exception.

      As Neuro said its mostly for one night stands so it happens more often in club/bar settings.
      If the guy thinks he's got a chance to spend his life with her (if he even plans on it) then he woulnd't do something so foolish.

    that means he lies about alot of things. things that are so silly to lie about he probably lies.. i got into a relationship like that it finally is over after 4 yrs but he did nothing but lie and lie. stayy away. if he didnt tell you when your started to get serious hes no good. it took for me to realize that when i became his girl on the side and didnt even know it.. thats when i was able to see all the games he played with me cuz he was playing them with her. Only i got to see it... funny cuz im sitting at his house right now as his other bitch is knocking on the door lol he has me hiding in his room so he can go outside to feed he lies on why she cant come in..hahahah there both stupid. So unless your benifiting from seeing him like money and to kill time then find another guy. cuz its just headaches
