Is it normal for a man to sit on a jogging/bike trail and read a book?

By read a book do you mean stare at ass? That's what your girl is accusing you of and you didn't really say if you are or not. You're the only one to say whether she is overreacting or actually right (because of course it's normal to read a book in a pleasant place outdoors).

It depends on if you are actually reading or people-watching. Out of all the places you could read a book, you did happen to pick a high-traffic area for females to go, so I can understand why she's suspicious.

You sound like a creeper with a sexual addiction problem. If you want to read go to the library or sit in a chair at your home. Instead of hanging out at the jogging trail "reading a book" and making excuses. Why don't you go jogging since that's the purpose of jogging trails. Don't harass strangers and destroy your relationship even more by ogling hot female joggers and or trying to pick them up.
