Is it normal for a man to never have had a best friend?

I have never had a best friend per se. I am 20 years old and male. I've observed that girls seem to have an easier time finding a best friend. Is that true? I just want to know if I should be concerned that I don't really have any friend who is super close to me.

    I don't think it's something to be concerned about. Just the way she goes I guess. I remember I had a best friend as a kid, then I had to move to an isolated area. That's when I became an antisocial, loner.

    I always shared my friends. I never had a one-on-one best friend either. I had great friends that were the 'best', but they always had other close friends. I always wanted a 'partner in crime' type friend.

    20 and never had a best friend?
    Anybody with a couple of quid can order a best friend off the internet these days. It couldn't be simpler.
