Is it normal for a man to kik a female all day everyday?

Ok I am truly just friends with this person and write to eachother everyday all day long on kik. He also kiks with his ex girlfriend but no where near as much. We talk about everything and are just friends.
The real question of is it normal to talk all day like this as just friends?
I an not sure I could handle more than friends but have gotten a bit attached and am thinking I should just stop talking to him all together because it isn't healthy. What do you think?

    I guess I'm afraid talking all day everyday will get me over attached and hurt me when he realizes we are truly only friends or when he stops writing all day to write his new girlfriend or something.

    He is becoming more of a best friend and you want to stop talking to him? I do not know why girls are always scared to seeming attached. If he is flirting with you and you do not like it, I can understand.
