Is it normal for a man to cry over sad movies?

I'm a 43 year old man, played rugby and football in the past, gone out with the lads, but privatly I'm really quite sensitive and I have cried at sad movies like 'The champ' 'The green mile' and even Doctor who (When David Tennant left) I try my best not to show it, being a typical man, for fear of ridicule (I'm not gay either!, no offence meant!) I even find that certain songs make me cry also, is this normal?

Oh for goodness sake, this is so silly! Yes, it's normal. Making posts like this shouldn't be, though.

VERY NORMAL! Guys are human, correct? Yes. There is no problem for a man to cry at a sad movie or cry over a sad song!

Contrary to popular belief, men DO in fact have emotions. Crazy, I know.

I finally able to feel that somebody can relate to me!!
I have been experiencing the same thing. I am 25 now, and ever since young I always tend to cry over sad movies. One example I could really remember was when I watched the "Bambi". I cried when the Bambi lost his mom.
Sometimes I do even cry after a sad movie in the cinema. Most of the time cried during the credits at the end, and when the light of the cinema started to brighten!! I feel ashamed sometimes..
But well.. Now I know it's normal :_)

It's completely normal. I do the same on occasion. However, I find neither of the movies you mentioned to be sad. Watch Silent Hill for a truly sad movie.
