Is it normal for a male to touch a female's face?

I recently started to work at a job where I need to travel a lot. During my training I would ride around with my trainer to the different appointments. I have been training with him for a few of weeks. One day while driving, we were talking about something and he was pointing out something about his face, but instead of pointing at his on face, he pointed at mine. A matter of fact, he totally just touched my face without hesitation and then pointed/ touched my temple. About a week later we were out on the road again together and we were talking and he tapped on my head with his hand like knocking on wood.
I guess my question is, is it normal for male co-workers or just men in general to make human contact with females in this way? I thought it was kind of weird.

For me personally, I have a bit of a space bubble. If anyone just touches my face without hesitation, I would not be okay with it. I don't even like it when people start playing with my hair (I have a decent sized space bubble heh).

It really depends on the person, how he touched you and whether or not he's a touchy or affectionate person in general.

I noticed a lot of people were more touchy when I lived down South and in Texas. I used to see the Doctor would always put his arm around me and pat me on the back and I think he was either South African or English. I never thought of him as creepy...I dunno.

still its odd, not the norm to touch strangers. like i said. it is subjective to the persons demeanor of the toucher and the touched how it is received

Nothing wrong here. Contact is a natural human thing.
    Don't worry about it.

  • He is a pretty outgoing guy. I kind of thought maybe this is just his personality, but I never see him do that with anyone else. Well, besides his male roommates. You know how guys can be with friends, high fives and stuff. We are all in our 20s, if that helps.

you mention you spend time with him quite a lot, so he's comfortable with you, so nothing wrong with that.
