Is it normal for a left hander to hate right handers

Im left handed for literally everything. Writing, Guitar, Boxing, You name it. What i really hate is when right handers go "Oh you're playing/holding that the wrong way" for me to reply "im left handed" then they just go "oh". No apology for criticising the way you play or write. It happens so frequently that i just want to hit the next one that says it. However, I feel a little jealous of right handers too as i have to be accused of this and then have to pay loads more for everything that I need (ie. pens, guitars) is it normal to envy soneone because you have a different dexterity

I used to want to be a leftie, I always thought it was cool. My left hand is too weak for me to try writing with it.

Dappled, are your eyes tri-coloured or maybe even rainbow? Also, is your handwriting different from hand to hand?

I'm ambi and, at school, used to write using my left hand to get attention. Yes, I really was that attention-starved. It soon turned negative, though, and I stopped doing it. I completely understand where you're coming from and now, if I see a leftie, I don't say a word. If it means anything, I'm slightly jealous because it's nice to be rare or a minority. I have the least commonly occurring eye colour and I'm chuffed to little bits about that. Being ambi is fairly rare but it doesn't count because two thirds of the time I'm doing things with my right hand and people just think I'm right-handed. You're not. And that's a good thing.

I'm left handed and have only ever hit 2 people in my car before both were right handed. Coincidence? I think not

Wait...spending extra on pens? I don't think I've ever had a problem with that, but it made me think of something interesting: do you use an inverted writing posture, or the usual?

I'm actually the opposite way; I kinda hate other left-handers. It's like they're stealin' my specialness...ha ha. Of course, whenever I meet someone especially irritating or horrendously weird, they end up being left-handed, too. >:(

But I agree with you on the, "you're using the wrong hand!" thing. IT GETS OLD.

Don't hate. And don't be envious. Your special, relish it. It seems normal to be frustrated with the situation, but nothing to drive yourself up a wall about.

How about when you knock the jack lead and it breaks or comes out? Or how about when you try to get at the top frets and the cutaway prevents you from doing that? You don't know how it is to get a strat and then keep knocking the jack lead out. then you have to switch the little metal thing over to the other side so you can stand up with it. to save the hassle i'd rather pay for a left handed one but i'm saying they should be the same price. Guitar companies should encourage different dexterities to buy their products not charge them for not being right handed. Also do you know why Hendrix learnt to hold the guitar upside down? It's cuz his dad wouldnt let him have aleft handed guitar regardless if he wanted one because he saw it as a sign of satan. It wasn't started by hendrix anyway. Paul McCartney was lefty and he was before hendrix. It really is funny why companies charge extra for lefties as some of the best guitarists were lefties. Hendrix, Cobain, McCartney etc. Moving on to the pen, without a left handed pen my work is almost always smudged as my hand drags across the page. I could hold my hand up but why do it? it aches loads when i have to do 10-15 page essays. @Dappled, i'd love to be ambi. I am ambi for tennis but thats about all. what colour actually are your eyes? Rainbow?

Left-handed pens? Really? Do they even exist? Why would you need one? A pen is symmetrical, so how could you make a leftie pen?

Dappled, seriously. You can't just say you have a rare eye colour and not tell us what. You know full well that we all now need to know. TELL US!!

I call bullshit. Your life isn't so hard.

And didn't the whole left handed guitar thing start when Jimi took a regular guitar and restrung to left just so he could be special? It wasn't a real necessity.

Most instruments are played only one way so when people stand next to eachother playing they don't bump elbows. It has nothing to do with hating lefties. When I was learning cello I wished I was left handed, it would've made the fingering easier.

Stop spending extra money on things you don't need and you'll cheer up.
