Is it normal for a guy who says they love you suddenly claim to not

I helped a friend out of a bad relationship, and we ended up dating, it seemed like everything was going really well, we were in a pretty serious relationship and then one day he suddenly told me he still cares about me but doesn't feel like he's in love with me. Is that normal? We're still friends, say we love each other and pretty much act like we're dating, but he claims to have feelings for another friend of his...it's really confused me.

    He's a man!

    They will say anything to get into your knickers! Once he got what he wanted, he's moved on to another challenge. But, he's keeping you hanging on as a booty call anytime he's at a loose end.

    I was just curious as to wether others have seen or had this happen to them. Im not one to bash or hate on people in general and it's hard to get me to drop someone.

    That's the thing. He's not a douche, he's a good guy. Doesn't try to do anything to upset me, and when i brought it to his attention, he cut back how much he did.

    Sadly, it is normal and it's not just high school. My friend is 25, her bf is 28. They dated for 3 years. A year after they bought a house he said the same thing and left to "spend time with his family" but her friends see him out at clubs all the time. It's just sad. And he still does text her the "I love you" but really you just need to quit talking to this douche.

    We are actually best friends, for a while he didn't have any sex drive, and then one day he really just had to have it. I knew back when we were dating he had sexual feelings for his friend he's now asking out. She's unsure if she wants to, i could never just leave him. i love him not only as a lover but a friend.

    A 4 month rebound? Who has openly said he'd date me again. Another part if the confusion. Lol, also, in high school i dated a guy almost four years, so it would make since for the relationship right after to seem high school like. Since my first wasnt.

    The reason it fits in this category is that we have had sez since the break up, and granted he's a bit of a nympho, it hit me hard that he would still wanna do it.
