Recently my boyfriend told me he loved me when he was drunk. I'm kind of a believer in the saying "drunk words are sober thoughts" but my friend told me that you shouldn't believe a guy when he says things drunk. Any opinions?

When I'm drunk I'll tell a damn wet paper bag that I love them. I'd wait to believe it when he says it sober
alcohol only makes you do things you already wanted to but didnt have the balls to. so he was most likely being 100% truthful but i wouldnt use alcohol to get any strait answers out of anyone seeing as they probably wont even remember what they did. also keep in mind that alcohol impairs vision and decision making skills, so basically, (this is just an example) he sees an ugly chick but because hes drunk, he doesnt see an ugly woman he sees either an average woman or a good looking woman. and even if he did see an ugly chick then the part of the brain that would normally say "dude dont fuck her, shes waaaay ugly" would just say "FUCK IT DOOD PARTAAAAAAAAY!!!!" so his thoughts are truthful but i wouldnt count on it 100%
It just really depends on the person. If they're drunk & telling you the truth or messing around ; only they'd know :)
He probally did mean it as you say things that you normally be to scared to say when sober. It is abit iffy though so not 100% sure
Have you slept with him? If not... He's probably a horny boy. But hey, he also could really feel deeply about you. Ask him lol
I'm more affectionate when I'm drunk and I also tend to overegg the pudding with compliments and when talking about feelings. I would never say I love you to a girl I wasn't interested in, but I have been guilty of saying it while drunk where what I actually mean is "I really like you".
Not something I'm especially proud of, by the way.
Hmm. This is iffy. It usually means someone tells the truth when drunk but guys tend to lie so I dunno lol.
