Is it normal for a guy to react badly to common cold

My hubby develops the shakes when the family is fighting off a cold and appears quite a lot worse off then the rest of us (including baby) and needs to stay in bed and lots of reassurance he's not seriously ill.

Is it normal "man flu" or should I really get him seen :/

Hes suggested i call someone for him but he's been sick like this before and recovered ok and I keep second guessing and thinking not to as they will say it's a common cold and to stop wasting their time.
Very worried and exhausted myself from ill baby, 9th month of pregnancy and a cold. But I don't want him to die if I miss a symptom of something !
