Is it normal for a guy to have a ridiculously low sex drive?

I am a gay guy. And well... I decided to settle down with a guy recently, the problem is that he never seems to be eager to have sex.

At first it was all good, we had sex frequently and it was great. However, now we have sex once a week or even just once every 2 weeks! He is driving me insane! If things keep going at this pace, we are going to have sex once a month.

I don't know what the problem is... he is ridiculously attractive, truly the body of a greek god. I am pretty fit as well and I don't think I am ugly or anything (I am starting to doubt though). We usually kiss and fool around a little everyday... but as soon as it gets serious, he says that he isn't "in the mood". Actually, he barely even gets an erection. The few times we do have sex, I truly have to beg.

I don't think I am a sex maniac or anything, but sex is very important to me. I don't see the point in being in a relationship if I am not going to have sex. But I truly like this guy a lot... I don't want to break up with him... I would like to know if there is a solution for this issue... so... what should I do?

    I'm gay too and I understand that it must be frustrating! I would be really disappointed if my bf and I only had sex once a week! Have you tried talking to him to see whether there's a reason he's never 'in the mood' anymore? Maybe there's a physical/medical issue that he's embarrassed about? How old are you guys?

    Anyway, if you really love each other it is worth talking about it and working through any issues :)

      He is a normal healthy 24 years old guy.... I doubt he has a medical condition... In fact, we talked about this many times already, and his answer is: "well, what can I do? I just don't want to..."

      He is just so indifferent towards anything regarding sex. Even when we are on the streets, he never even looks at good looking guys. Whenever I tell him I have time at night, he usually says: "Let's watch a movie then" and stuff like that... I don't know... he is just weird.

    I mean not so much me, because I am passive but my bf is not only willing but really desperate to do me at every chance he has :P I LOVE it

    A lot of guys have low sex drives, and honestly once a week isn't even that low.

      Come on, once a week isnt low? I have sex twice a night and I still long for more...I am in an open relationship and meet a couple of guys a night, at least and have their cock up my ass :)

        That's a high sex drive. Some couples only have sex once a fortnight or once a month, and sometimes both parties are okay with this. Sometimes they're both too busy and sometimes one just has a different sex drive to the other.

        Once a week, on the scale of things, isn't that low.
