Is it normal for a guy to change his mind so quickly?

Ill make this brief: Went out on a lunch date with this guy. He paid. Said he wanted to see me again after he got back from training which is only for 2 weeks. After we ate we held hands, kissed..thats about it. When I got home he texted me asking if i got home ok and texted me the next day asking what i was up to. So the following day I text him "hey whats up". He texts back "watching tv." So i felt like i was bugging him so I never replied. Its been two days and still nothing from him. What does this mean? Did he just change his mind about me or what? Please help me understand!

    You asked him "what's up?"
    He told you he's "watching tv."
    Seems to me he was just answering your question, and you're reading into it wrong. There's no reason that conversation couldn't have been steered in another direction, i.e. "wanna hang out?" Or some such.
    Whatever. Just give him a phone call and I doubt you'll have any more misunderstood communication.

    Done, send text. Your relationship sounds kind of impromptu anyway, wouldn't hurt.
