I have been in a relationship with my girlfriend for almost a year now, we started dating when I was 19 and she was 31. I am now 20 and she is now 32. In the start it felt strange, but as time went on, I did not even recognize the age difference any more. We are a very attractive couple, but some people can spot the age difference. The relationship has been getting more serious as time has been going by. All of my quote on quote friends say it is fine;whereas, my sister and mother do not seem to be fine with it. My mom accepts it or at least she tries to accept it, but not my sister does not. My sister says pretty cruel things to me about the age difference;for example, she often says there is something wrong with her head to be dating a guy 12 years younger than her. I just wanted some completely honest answers from some outsiders. Yes I do find her attractive, I do find her sweet, I do find her responsible, and so forth. She has a job at Burlington and she also goes to a community college;whereas, I have my own landscaping business, and I too attend college half time. I just said that so you guys would not think we were non productive members of the society who were hooked on drugs and together for all the wrong reason. Thank you guys

    One of my male friends is 25 and is dating a 37 year old woman. I rarely think about their age difference.

    I'm a guy and as much as I love girls my own age or younger, I'm much more attracted to older women. Most in their 30s-40s. From my experience, older women don't play all those weird mind games like the younger girls do, and when it comes to sex, the older women are amazing. It's seems they're willing to trying kinkier things in bed unlike the younger girls. So when I'm banging away on a hot 30 something year old babe who could be someone's mother, I don't care how old she is. If she makes me happy and if I make her happy, then age is just a number. The same thing should apply to you. If the two of you make each other happy, if you two really love and care about each other, then nothing else should matter.

    Thank you guys for all of the comments, I have taken every one's post into consideration. I have made the decision once again to stop listening to all of the negativity; furthermore, listen to my heart and stay with her.

    If you know she's the one, and you enjoy being around her... don't let your family get to you! It's your life, not theirs. It's your life to live out, and be happy!! Ugh, I hate how parents get in the middle of relationships like that!! If you love her, or like her enough, then stay with her!!

    I don't think this is abnormal at all. I watched a Dr.Phil episode where this 30 year old woman was dating a 20 year old guy and he reprimended them so bad!! I hated Dr.Phil ever since. He was like "What's wrong with you? Don't you see how bad that is? He's a child!" I was like. Fuck you doctor Phil, you're probably a fucking hypocryte. Why should 30 year old men date 20year old females and it's fine? It's fine either way, humans are humans, and at 20, we can make our own goddamn decisions. You're fine. People just have issues accepting things that are not common. You're sister is one of them.

    Cameron Diaz was dating Timberlake and the latter was younger. My brother is living with a woman who is older than him. Your sister is maybe too young to understand that feelings and love go beyond all limits. If you feel good together it's okay. Don't ask yourself too much question.

    Oh and by the way, the phrase is "Quote UN quote" not quote ON quote. You Americans mumble so much you can't hear the difference. Plus why write quote un quote when you can just use.....QUOTATION MARKS?!!?!?! Hahahaha

    Heres the deal - Do you have a long term future with her? Probably no, because by the time you want to get married and settle down for life (like 25-30) she's going to be infertile and old as fuck and won't give you children. Just bang her man, the relationship is going to end some day so enjoy it whilst you got it. Life is short so don't waste it on the same person. Trust me.
