Is it normal for a guy to be this protective?

my x friends with benefits is becoming super protective of me. When I party with your friends he follows me around and asks me all the time where I went if he has not see me around. I try to give him room to talk to other girls but he is far up my ass anyways. So, he ends up ignoring the girls anyways. He tries to ask me for favors on the days I have date. It ends up being around the time I am suppose to leave for the date. Everyone of your friends have notice it is getting worse with this over protectiveness. Why is he doing this?

Stop having sex with him coz you're just encouraging him. He's a control freak, don't be fooled by him saying he feels protective of you. Bullshit! Stay well away from him and please be careful around him.

He doesn't like the idea of anybody else having you; might be cause he like you, might just be being possessive.

I disagree with people above saying he wants to be more than friends; it is not necessarily the case. Could simply be much like a kid biting when you touch his toy and then jumping to another toy as soon as you let this one be.

He does this because hes not attached to you at all, he doesnt even care or have feelings for you and mostly because he hates you. GAH! How can people be so dumb?

I havent had sex w/ him in 2 months. He just got out of a relationship that only lasted a few wks. He just started to doing this super protective thing for the past 2 wks. he was protective of me when we did have sex but it has gotten worse since we stopped. He makes sure I am never around any other guys unless he is around.

  • You're not his possession, so you should tell him to take a hike and end your physical relationship with him.

For some reason this reminds me of the movie, When Harry met Sally. Even though they weren't really friends with benefits. They actually hated each other.

I don't know, I just have a feeling he really likes you, and you might fall for him too, but in time. And I think what icanhascheezburger said was right. You can't have casual sex with someone, and think that there's no possibility of them actually having feelings for you. Thats why in my world, there is no such thing as friends with benefits.

If you don't feel the same way, explain to him the truth.

Yeah, your friend is developing feelings and you should be really honest about it if you don't return those feelings.

Well people who tend to have sex with each other, someone is bound to develop feelings.. You can't just have casual sex and not expect that, it never works out. He probably sees you more then just a friend at this point so of course he's going to be possessive and jealous.
