Is it normal for a guy to be protective over his butt?

My boyfriend is way over protective of his butt, if I touch it or give him a little pat or squeeze he loses his mind, but when he pinches mine to all hell in public it's apparently so much different?

He's a real gym addict so he's got the cutest boyish bubble butt and I compliment him all the time on it but he takes it as I'm making fun of him, and when I asked if he would ever be interested in doing any kind of ass play he acted like I just gave him the biggest insult he's ever heard.

It's a little funny how upset he gets over it, but at the same time it's a little prudish and hypocritical . I dunno, is this a guy thing? I know most guys aren't too eager to do anything with their butts, but I don't understand why?

    If it was another guy touching it, I would understand. But for a woman to touch it, I would love it.

    Seems extreme to me. It's understandable if a guy (or anyone for that matter) isn't down with having anything done to their butthole. But it sounds like his aversion goes much further than that. Maybe he's got some body image or sexual baggage of some kind. On the other hand, everyone's got their likes and dislikes and they're hard to change, so you pretty much just have to accept it.

    Maybe he had a bad experience? The first person i was with....just slipped a finger in, no warning, no talk of are you up for that, plus it was dry docked, needless to say i'm genuinley a little warey if someone goes near my ass during sex

    my mom touches my butt sometimes but we both know there is nothing sexual about it, she just does it to tease me. if a girl ever touched my butt I would think it was very cute of her to do. many guys think it's gay to have their butts played with but I understand that girls feel the desire to try out having a fake penis on their boyfriends, and I would absolutely encourage this behavior. guys who are secure in their sexuality know that the male g-spot is located deep in their ass and welcome a bit of female domination.

    I think it's a guy thing. I used to love to grab my last girlfriend's ass non stop but when she grabbed mine on occasion it felt weird. I never had as severe a reaction as what you're describing but it just always felt kind of weird.
