Can a man and woman be best friends and used to be fwb? We are no longer fwb but just friends and he wants to be in a relationship but not w/ me. He also likes another girl but she does not like him. Yet he still does not like me talking about other guys. Why is he acting this way.
To answer your question, yes it is normal for guys and girls to be best friends. What is not normal is that he's giving you the double standard where he can talk about girls but you can't talk about boys. He probably still has feelings for you but he thinks that maybe he can do allitle better so he keeps you as a friend while he goes off trying to find another fwb. You should straight up ask him what his deal is, how come he can talk about girls and you can't. Ask him see what he says.
He does not say that I have to stop taking about guys, he just gets real quiet. and he has never told me that he has feelings for me, i figure he didn't because he always say this girl is hot or that girl is hot. So i say it when I see a hot guy. but the other day I told him his friend is too touchy feely like he is trying to confidence me to be with me and I know for sure his friend wants to have sex with me. And he told me that the only guy that can touch me is him.
Alright, this is a tough situation. I have this friend and we have been friends since I was in 8th grade. Now, last year, we started messing around with each other. Then he we tried dating for 3 weeks and it did not work out. After that, we still kind of messed around but nothing serious. Then, I decided I actually want a boyfriend and I met this amazing guy (he has been my boyfriend for 9 months). Now, I have not seen my friend since I have been with my current boyfriend. So, I am not really sure, it really just depends on the situation. In my situation, I think my friend just wanted sex.
I agree with TyLee. I think a man and a woman can be best friends but, in your case there is a sexual history and there is obviously still some sexual jealousy on his side. If you can still be best friends with all that floating around, you're doing well.
I sometimes think my best female friends are my friends simply because we never had sex.
To me it sounds like he wants to keep his options open with you since things aren't looking so good with the other girl. IDK though, I guess it depends if friends is all you wanted?
It was totally normal... Until the part where he doesn't want you talking about other guys. That is very weird and seems to be a big problem.
