Is it normal for a guy not to kiss me during 1st meeting?

I met this guy on my friends wedding, i liked him so i added him on facebook,we kept in touch for a few months&finally we met for the 1st time last night.We went for coffee,talked for a few hours,hes funny,so we laughed quite a lot-nearly the whole time.He walked me to my car and we talked a bit near my car but in the end before I left he didnt make any move as in a kiss or a hug nothing.After I got home I got sms from him asking if i got home safely and he said that he hopes i had as much fun as he did. I told him yes i did.But now im not too sure if he sees me as a friend or something more? Do u think its normal that he didnt make any move? How long will it take for me to find out?

    I think no moves on a first date is normal. I mean its normal for there to be moves or not to be moves. Both seem acceptable to me.

    It's just the first date, he might be a chicken... I am kinda with a guy who is a chicken, we've known each other for about 3 years and he still is scared. lol

    Don't put ur heart into the relationship. Ask him what does he think of the kind of relationship. What would he call it . Then you know what he feels , and then you can make a decision on that :-).

    Well,im a good girl as well but he did tell me before that he has done hook ups with some random girls from time to time, and a while ago ive asked him if hes looking for a fling or serious r/shp,he said serious r/shp,and i told him that me too and that i dont do one night stands,but we had that conversation a while ago,so do u guys think thats why he is behaving so good or he doesnt find me attractive? how can i know?

    It's just the 1st outing, if you are really on him you should be patient :)
    At least you should be please that he is a gentle guy and won't take advantage on gals easily? ;)

    sounds like he could just be shy, not wanting to scare you away with his advances, not sure whether you want a friend or a lover, because he is a friend of a friend he could feel defensive because he knows that this coffee shall be talked about amongst said friends and doesn't want to be the subject of embarrasment if things went awkward if he tried to kiss you and you rejected his advances.
    Amazing how us men think isn't it lol
