Is it normal for a guy friend to smother me w/ gifts?

Alright so here's the deal... I have a great guy friend who I've known for 3 years now, and he tries to buy me shoes cause I simply blurted out that I saw a pair I liked. Please keep in mind that I do have a boyfriend, so is it cause he's trying to win me over? Or is it just a nice guesture? Or is he gay like most posts say lol I 100% really don't think so :)

    He definitely likes you. But if you're perfectly happy with your bf, simply tell the other guy that you just want to be friends. Good luck.

    Maybe he likes you? There can be different reasons.. maybe he did something wrong you dont know about JET ... he tries to soften the pain haha... maybe HE does really like and love you. I dont know... Guys tend to fall in love with girls they are friends with.. I think you should ask him....Awkward? yess... buy him a gift too telling that he himself is already a gift as a friend and that he should not buy gifts and its not good for your friendship balance.. haha ;) x
