Is it normal for a girl to want to be a drag queen?

I'm a straight woman, but I think drag queens have such charisma, and if I was born a man I would definitely be a drag queen. Technically, I could be a drag king, but I don't find that appealing. What is it about drag queens that is so awesome??

My god, I've found other people like me!
I'm the exact same way. I get made fun of all the time at school, so I'm guessing it's not "normal." But hey, who says you have to be normal to be happy? =)

  • They are so pretty, like exotic birds. They have definitely taken femininity to a whole new level.

Valkeer: I hope you are not using the word "gay" as an insult because that would only be a poor reflection on you.

The female equivalent of a drag queen is called a "drag king". They aren't as popular as the male version. In fact, I would have never heard of this had I not seen a episode of True Life a few years ago.

    Interesting thought indeed...
I myself sm a long time married crosdress with a very supportive, understanding, accepting, knowledgeable, and helpful wife who has taught me all the traits to emulate women, from presentation, to walking, standing, sitting, mannerisms, make up, hair, nails, etc.
I actually detest males per se...
Wearing feminine apparel is the ultimate..
As for drag queens, as you well know, they do have fantastic wardrobe, a lot of smarts re make up, and many are very talented as well..
Being envious of them is very commendable indeed, and I mydself, thoroughly enjoy their efforts.

I understand how you feel! I have been fascinated by drag queens ever since I was a young teenager. Sometimes I wish I could be a man just so I could dress up like a woman. :) Have you ever seen Hedwig and the Angry Inch or To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything Julie Newmar? Those are the best drag queen movies! (Technically Hedwig is trans, but the guy playing him is in drag throughout the film).
