Why don't you just ask her, you think all women do it for the same reason
I work 40 hours a week minimum. I can text on the job but phone calls are a no no. In addition, since I work at night, I sleep during the day and leave my phone on silent as I sleep because I have difficulty falling back to sleep. That's already 12 hours out of the day I can't answer my phone.
In addition, I take 15 units at school and don't answer my phone during class. Texting is more convenient because it's generally discreet and doesn't require me to be attatched to my phone for the whole conversation. Usually comes standard with having a life and shit to do. If my friends want to call me, they generally have to text me first to inquire as to which time would be best.
You text? You use a cell phone? Heretic!!!!!!! HOW DARE YOU GIVE IN TO DA EBUL 'LECTRUNIX?????
as a guy we are constantly told.. 'If she doesnt respond, stop calling.. you are being a creep'.. in many cases we have to cut our loses and move on.. to keep our integrity
think about it.. the guy has to do all the work in the beginning.. girls act all passive like we don't mean shit (not all girls)
are they playing games? are they not interested? are they just busy?.. its a mind field.. the polite thing to do, would be to send a text afterwards explaining (but i guess that never happens)
do you get where i'm comming from?
I absolutely despise talking on the phone but enjoy texting. If someone I was bantering and flirting with called me I'd be nervous to answer. I might not answer on the first ring. If they called back I'd pick up, if they don't I might just call them.
Haha, wait, you want all women to "explain ourselves" about this thing that *one girl* is doing?
I do this. One of my 'sort of' guy friends gets really angry at me for doing this. I try to explain to him the truth, but I don't think he believes me. I think he thinks I'm playing games or something.
I hate texting, but I do it anyway. And with people of the opposite sex, I'm very shy to speak to them over the phone, so I stick with texting even though I hate it so much.
I said 'sort of' guy friend, because I don't have a problem with him, and I haven't seen him in years... so I think he's more like an acquaintance now, or 'distant' friend. Honestly, I don't know what we are.
We've known each other since we were toddlers, because our families were very close. He was actually older than me, and I was more friends with his sister, who was my age. So, friend was never really something that we called each other. He ended up moving, and every now and then we still talk, but I haven't seen him in like 3 years. And actually theres a whole lot more to it than that. I don't even know why I'm telling you this...
But ok... I guess not knowing what we are after 3 years of not seeing each other... and calling him my 'sort of guy friend', makes me a cunt. Thanks!
tbh she should send a text explaining herself.. its called being polite.. i bet if her mum rang her, and she didnt answer, she would send a text back
just ask her, say "is there a reason you cant talk on the phone" just be straight forward with her hopefully she does the same & learn how to point out the BS from honesty..wasn't trying to be rude or anything (: some people just feel more comfortable texting no big deal and some arn't who they say they are, be smart & good luck!
They are nervous to talk to you. Texting is a more "risk free" conversation because you have time to think about your responses and make a good impression.
Could be nerves or busy? My ova half does it for his privacy even if we visit people he likes to give full attention lol. But I think it's weird I tell him too.
I do this. I'm just really shy talking on the phone because I'm afraid I won't be able to hold a conversation.
If it happens often, maybe she is just more comfortable with texting than talking on the phone. Or she may not want a serious relationship. Next time, text her and ask to meet in person. That will give you your answer.
Wheeeey banter you LAD!
I am a lady, and no, I don't understand it myself. If someone rings me, then I answer it. No matter who it is.
Maybe she doesn't like talking on the phone? I personally know some people who are phobic of that.
It's completely normal I text all the time I dislike talking on the phone for many reasons. One being it costs for people to call me on my cell phone. I rather use that call time for emergency. Another being I find it hard to understand and stay focused on the conversation when I'm in a call. With texting I can do my own thing during the conversation. While I'm talking on the phone I need to stay focused on the conversation or I'm lost.
I think she's really shy or she can't talk as in maybe there are always people around her which makes her uncomfortable to talk in a flirty manner. I used to do this when a guy would call me but I would be in such a situation where I could not talk and it killed me so in the end we came up with a plan, he would text me first and ask if it was okay to call whether it was a good time to talk and that plan actually worked out pretty fine.
I do this too. I just hate talking on the phone! Texting is easier. I have my ringer off always. If people need togetahold of me they have to text. Period.
talk to her.but dont you think that it should be the guy to not talk on the phone.but i dont know.but talk to her see whats going on
so a dude has never this is what your saying if I'm not mistaken because that would be preposterous.
It takes me at least a couple of hours even days to get back to people. I don't constantly check up on my messages and call log because I get really busy. Don't think too much of it. If it really bothers you just ask.
Well, considering the phone didn't ring and went straight to voicemail, she could have turned her phone off..her phone could have died..or she may not have had a signal where she was.
