Is it normal for a girl to realize she only wants you by cheating?

I have or I guess as for right now had been with this girl for close to 10 months and she cheated on me the other night after we had a fight. She was one hundred percent sober and knew that it would literally break me. This is my first love and I am to say the least obsessed with her. I know that what she did is so freaking wrong it sickens me. With some people, is it normal to only realize what you want after you have lost it? Like could she genuinely want me back (like she keeps saying she does) after she has done something like cheat on me? She says she does not want to live without me and is dropping everything for me. Is it normal for people to realize what they want in life after they have lost it, including a boyfriend?

    Dump her and move on. My friend just had something like this happen to him. She said she wanted him back to and it was just the one time. Guess what? She had 5 other boy friends that all didn't know about one another. >_>

    I am speaking from experience (I have been cheated on and have made the mistake of cheating in the past) so believe me when I say I know where you are coming from.

    I am not condoning your girlfriends actions, but I just thought I should throw a little information at you that you may not have considered.

    First: women rarely cheat on their partners because they have an issue with their boyfriend..it usually has to do with an issue they have within themself.

    So it is certainly possible that she cheated on you but still loves you.

    They say you "never miss your water til your well runs dry."

    It would be more normal to be concerned about your feelings - not her post-betrayal drama and regrets. Honestly - what do YOU want?

    My guess is that you might want to protect yourself by not continuing a relationship with a person so vicious she settles a fight by jumping in the sack with someone else.

    This girl plays dirty and hurt you badly. Take her back and she will do it again. Is that what you want?

    Welcome to life. Humans are not naturally monogamous, they are polyamorous. Unfortunately over the centuries it has been drummed into society by prudish religious fanatics that humans should be monogamous and only have sex with one person.

    Sex is just a mechanical thing that feels good. So don't get hung up on the fact that some other guy had sex with her. Chances are many guys have had sex with her before you, so no need to get all hung up over it.

    If you really like her or are in love with her, then tell her that since she cheated and now wants you back, you want an open relationship since she apparently wants one also.

    Enjoy the sex and get on with life until you find someone or something better....

    Take her back and see what happens. Play it out. Just know it might not work out. Be ready for that but hey say everything turns out right and you live happily ever after.

    I'm very sorry to hear that first of all... It's always one way or another either its the guy cheating or its the girl. I was cheated on as well with my boyfriend of 5 years so it really hurts i know how you feel... He said it would never happen and because i love him i believe him.. I do think in the back of my mind he will do it again.. N that really bugs me. Your girlfriend did something very wrong and if you left her she will feel horrible but it never should have happened in the first place.
