Is it normal for a girl to buy a guy shirt?

Okay well I went to a clothing store with my parents and while my mom went to return something I went with my dad to the men/teen department. While he was loooking I spotted a really Bad-ass Galaga (the video game) shirt and I really wanted it. My dad said yes but when my mom was done she noticed the shirt and just said okay. My dad the only one that knows that its really a guys shirt.

Okay, most of my friends are girls, and pretty much all of them wear guy shirts. Personally I think its very unfair. Women can wear whatever they damn well want and get away with it regardless of what sex its aimed at. But us guys cant wander about in a short skirt, knee socks and low cut vest top. It isnt fair! Seriously. I dream of being able to walk around in public in a dress without people giving me looks and making fun of me. And the thing is... Im not even joking about this...

I bet you'd look bad ass in a dress. Don't let society get you down, wear what makes you comfortable :) I have worn men's clothes on many occasions, and actually use men's deodorant because it smells and works better.

Why would you want to wear women’s apparel? I don't understand the point of women’s clothing. Its so Impractical. Skin tight jeans with no pockets and shirts too small to cover your stomach. How do you wear clothes without pockets?

Might as well just walk around buttnaked. Yeah they might look pretty and show off the body but if for some reason war hit or like a natural disaster this is horribly impractical. Does not matter how hot your butt looks if you freeze too death.

Besides who wants a priss for a girlfriend anyways? Tomboys are way cuter! Miss im so platinum might be hot but I am sure that type of superficiality would get annoying after awhile. A chick that likes sports, video-games, and isn’t all about how she looks vs miss beauty queen im so perfect buy me things. I think the sporty chick is probably going to be a more desirable partner.

First off, I believe you meant this to be directed towards Nolan and not me.
Second off, although women's clothing may lack in functional qualities (i.e. missing pockets or whatever generalizations you mentioned) - it also has emotional or sentimental value as well. I've noticed that women don't wear make up and dress up just because they feel like it. They do it to make themselves feel better OR they're trying to keep up with what the media portrays as 'beauty', however, I could probably write a novel about that alone.
Third off, your definition of a 'priss' seems illogical. You assume every women who decides to dress up is a 'priss'. I've met women who are more down to earth, and kind that dress up that would normally be viewed as a 'prissy' women. The same applies to tomboys as well. I've met good and bad women in both of the categories you mentioned. I've actually met a materialistic superficial women who was a tomboy and enjoyed video games and sports. I've also met a women who has issues with her feet to where they hurt if they aren't elevated so she's stuck wearing high heels even though she would rather wear flats. She was often seen as 'prissy' even though she had no control over her condition. I forgot what her condition was called, but she didn't have enough money to fix it.
Last, every man and every women has their own sense of what's beautiful. Some people, like you, prefer a tomboy. Whereas some people like a chick who likes to dress up in girly clothes. I'm not going to judge another persons taste of what's beautiful or not since who they choose to date doesn't effect me and I don't think you should either.

(tl;dr): I don't think you learned the childhood lesson of don't judge a book by its cover.

Girly clothes or not that is not what makes someone a priss. Its when people believe that is is the only thing that ever matters. Looks are only skin deep it has nothing to do what the person is on the inside. Also if a woman does not wear chick clothes they are seen as masculine or less feminine.

Yet really the clothes they make for women are impractical. It seems rather unfair to force someone to wear something that is designed souly to show off that persons body. Its not like they could not have normal clothes that are practical for both genders. Emotional or not people are often forced to look like whatever gender they are and girl clothes is not very practical.

So you agree girls should be forced to wear something they are not comfortable in? Just so they could look pretty? I don't think that's what really makes someone pretty. Real women are pretty not all the glamour and lights everyone thinks should be put up. People with a real personality not "I think im hotter and better than all of you look at how big my tits are"!

I never said what made a person a priss or not. I used your example of a priss which was a girl who wanted people to supposedly buy her things and dressed up to the point where they had “skin tight jeans with no pockets and shirts too small to cover your stomach” and likes to “show off the body”. Which is an over-generalization and stereotypical, but I’ll ignore that. Then you say the opposite is a chick who likes “sports, video-games, and ISN’T ALL ABOUT HOW SHE LOOKS” which translates to dressing up or caring what they look like to the point where they spend extra time on their looks. To which I replied “They do it to make themselves feel better OR they're trying to keep up with what the media portrays as 'beauty', however, I could probably write a novel about that alone.” Anyways, I agree with your first paragraph even though it goes against what you were saying before (at least in my eyes).
I never said that women should be forced to wear girly clothes and if you read my conversation with Nolan, you would know that “I see nothing wrong with cross dressing and I completely agree with your argument on how women can wear guys' clothes, but not the other way around. I wear guys clothes all the time and I have no problem with guys wearing girls clothes.” Which I posted 2 years, 2 months ago. I find it unfair to force someone to wear something that is designed to show of the person’s body, but don’t blame me for it, blame the media. Furthermore, it’s their decision on whether or not they want to dress up. I’m not going to force people to dress a certain way.
I never said girls should be forced to wear something they’re not comfortable in. That’s putting words in my mouth. I was stating something to show you why I found your comment so odd, and to give you the other side of the argument. Sure, that one girl who had to wear high heels did it because her foot problems, but did you see my opinion on it? No. If it was up to me, I would beg her to go to the doctor and get it checked, but it’s not up to me what she does with her life. If she’s fine wearing high heels I’ll let her. I was listing reasons why women wore girly clothing. Not to mention how superficial can apply to tomboys as well, not just girls which are labeled as a priss. Anyways, that’s enough typing for now. I had my fun.

You, my friend, are one in a million. I am truly flattered. Thank you. I would much appreciate those hugs. But... I do hope you're a female, because although I dont mind a bit of man love every now and again, I can assure you, that despite my desire to wear women's clothes, I am indeed straight. Although I do think most of the people I know would argue otherwise...

Yeah, surprisingly I'm a girl. If I ever have a boyfriend, you better believe I'm going to make him dress up just for me. I see nothing wrong with cross dressing and I completely agree with your argument on how women can wear guys' clothes, but not the other way around. I wear guys clothes all the time and I have no problem with guys wearing girls clothes.
And most people wouldn't think you're straight, but you shouldn't worry too much on what other people think. You should just live life how you want to and screw the rest. Life is short.

You are one cool cat, you know that. I kinda thought you might've been a guy because you used the word 'dude', and I dont hear many chicks use the word 'dude'. And personally, I dont really care what people think of me, but when you live in a rough area of a rough town, it's probably not the smartest idea for me to go out in drag as I'll probably get egged or beaten. Hell. I've been threatened for wearing a black shirt in my town.

Sorry to hear about that. And I say dude to everyone, so don't mind me. I'm just too used to saying it to my friends and what not. Anyways, I would say 'come to this town' and stuff, but I hate this town and they'll probably make fun of you for cross dressing as well. It's sad how people aren't open minded. I'm chill with almost about everything. If I knew you in real life though, I'd be your friend in a heart beat. LOLOLOL.

I really think it sucks for women. Women are forced to be objectified everyday. W omens clothes is impractical and seems to aim to do nothing but show off the woman's figure. I think its more reasonable for women to wear men’s apparel.

I mean women should not have to walk around looking like walking sextoys. Lets think about what is considered girl clothes thongs, shirts that don’t cover your stomach, shirts that are too small, sweaters that don’t go all the way down, incredibly thin and tight clothes, and fake(no)pockets.

I kind of understand why chicks put everything in there boobs since with clothes that tight I think the only other alternative would be pulling it out of the buttcrack and that would just smell.

Girls in guy clothing are hot. Like seriously, if I see a girl in a men's t-shirt, hat and some loose jeans, I think "Damn." Not enough girls wear guy clothing.

I have a few guy band shirts. Generally the ones meant for guys have better designs, and they don't come in both genders. Too big for me, but I'm happy with them.

Why is it such a big deal if you wear a top that's aimed at men? I don't think there's anything wrong with it:S
