Is it normal for a father to want a daughter

I am not married yet but I think it would be cool to have a daughter. I don't have a sister just 2 female cousins on my dad's side of the family. Anyway my rationale for wanting a daughter is so I can have some of my genes in a living female member of the human species. I just think it's so weird and fascinating for someone to have their genes in a person of the opposite gender. So the way I see it is if I was a woman I would want a son and because I'm a man I want a daughter. Another related reason is because my whole life I had this idea that women are just so mysterious and different from me, but having a daughter would change all that because a part of me would be inside the female world. I've also just wanted to see what I look like as a girl or woman.
