Is it normal for a father to hate his child?

Me and a guy I was with, had intercourse (unprotected as he wished) and I feel pregnant. I found out about 6 weeks after and decided to tell him. He was very happy until the pregnancy was confirmed. When it was confirmed, he went cold on me and wouldnt talk about it. Since the he has continuously tried to get other people to harm me and our child. Is this normal? He has said many times in the past that he wants a family with me.

    Obviously that isnt normal. At first I thought this way going to be about a father hating his lazy delequent son, which is common, but his behaviour is unacceptable if hes trying to get people to hurt you. Especially if your pregnant. I knew a guy with cerebal palsy who got it because his father pushed his mother down the stairs while she was pregnant. Hes disabled and has a shitty life. Personally I think if someone hurts you while your pregnant they just gave you the right to kill them because ruining someones life is worse than murder.

    Perhaps your ugly and he doesn't want to get stuck with you. He probly told you he wanted a family so you'd think he was serious about you.

    He smokes pot but that's it. He still hasn't spoken to me but I've had to move to stop him. And it was NOT a moment of weakness. We had been planning a family thankyou very much

    Did he tell you why he didn't want the baby? And does he use drugs or has a mental illness?There is something wrong with him obviously. Is weird that his acting like that if at first he was happy with the pregnancy.
