Is it normal for a father to get only 1 year in jail
I was adopted at the age of 3 , into a family of 11 people already. My adoptive parents had 9 adopted kids already. I am the second youngest and for 10 years my adoptive father sexually harassed me, almost every day at least once. He kissed me , shoved his tongue down my throat and if his tongue couldn't get through my clenched teeth it licked my face. He touched me and had me touch him, anywhere in our house, any chance he got he took. I told almost 2 years ago, I am 18 almost 19 in a few months. He not only abused me, he was accused by multiple others once I told. He only got 1 year, and the sick part is the judge was saying stuff like he is sorry, he lost his family, this man has suffered enough blah blah blah. The judge said this after he read my statement . My whole family was in the court room, I was sitting behind the sick Pedophile during all of this. Should I move on with my life and be happy or should I try to get him in jail longer.
