My dad and me always share a room to save money when traveling. We even share a double bed when we visit my grandfather's house. Nothing unusual happens. It's normal.
I don't see why not.
There are several factors that could make the normality of this dependent though. The fact that you even have to ask makes me suspicious though.
I think it's normal. Will they be sharing the same bed? Do they have a history of inappropriate behaviour? If the answer is "yes" to the latter than the situation is no longer normal.
Normal they could be doing that to save money, one room is cheaper than two.
I'd say it was normal unless one of them really didn't want to and were forced to.
It depends on how long they were doing this for, if they weren't sharing a bed I'd say normal.
He is considered old man, and it's a holiday i.e temporary, so I don't see why not. I'm sure it's due to cost reasons.
