Is it normal for a blind guy to find dresses/skirts attractive?

I apologize for this post, as it might be quite lengthy, but please hear me out as this is the first time I've expressed this outside of my own head.
Here's the thing. I am a straight male, 23 years old, and I happen to be totally blind.
As a child, my mother always took me shopping with her. At the time, I hated every moment of it. As I've aged however, I've come to actually enjoy shopping, especially for dresses, skirts, and shoes. For the record, I am not a cross-dresser, I just really enjoy seeing women wearing said articles. The thing about women's fashion is, it's very tactile. Being blind, my hands give me most of the information around me, as you could probably guess.
As much as I would like to, I can't really ask to touch a woman's dress, skirt, or shoes without being labeled as creepy (as far as I know anyway.) For the record, I have no intention of sticking my hand up her skirt or anything, I would like to see how they fit and flatter the body, and let's face it. Women look beautiful and feminine in dresses, skirts, and such, and they need to know it.
Here are my questions. Ladies, would you let a blind friend of yours touch your dress/skirt/shoes? Would you take said blind friend shopping with you? Are there any women out there that would date a guy like me, or would that be a turn-off?

Just as a side note, it felt good to finally put this out in the open. I've been keeping this question in my head for too long.

  • They really need to put braille on paper money. In USA the money all feels the same and I have known blind people to get ripped off by greedy cashiers. With all the money they recently wasted on making the new currency I do not understand why they didn't do this.

There are iPhone apps that can identify money, as well as dedicated devices, but braille money would be nice. If I remember correctly, ripping off a blind person was on an episode of What Would You Do. That was interesting to see.

    • Better question will be: how do you plan to read all of your comments when you can't see.

You guys are kinda right. I have a braille display, which is essentially a 1-line braille "screen". I also have a MacBook Pro, which has software that speaks what is displayed on the screen. Mac users can press Command+f5 to enable/disable it. . As for the "see" thing, we do use that term just as other people do. We "watch" tv, we'll "see" you later, and so on.

    • I have several blind friends and I have noticed that they tend to use the word see for things such as feel. I also have heard them often say read when they actually listened. I don't know why because it can be confusing if you are not used to blind slang.

When it comes to reading, we can either "read" in braille, or "listen" to audio books. We usually just use the term "reading" for simplicity sake.

Your fetish sounds really tame. I bet if you get a girlfriend who loves and understands you, she will happily oblige your desire to feel dresses.

On a somewhat unrelated note, I am really glad that there are ways for blind people to use computers. I have vision loss in my right eye; it still works but according to the eye doctor it's so bad that my brain chooses to ignore it and only focus on input from my good eye. It hasn't bothered me too much over the years but lately I've been noticing that my good eye isn't as good as it used to be, and it worries me because I'm afraid that if I go completely blind, I won't be able to enjoy all the things that I love anymore, especially artwork...

I don't know if I would call it a fetish. I think of it more like a sighted person looking, I just have to go about it a different way. As for your vision, if you end up going completely blind, you can still enjoy most, if not all of the things you enjoy now. They might require a little modification, but it is definitely possible.

Dresses, skirts and high heels are the most feminine garments for women to wear. Nothing has ever changed that. Women have been wearing jeans and pants for the shortest time period. Most men prefer a pretty dress or skirt on a woman with some nice high heeled shoes. The fact that you're blind doesn't change that. You miss seeing those things on a beautiful woman, and that's completely normal. Nothing to feel ashamed about. I can't speak for every woman out there, but I too would let you touch my dress.

It's normal as long as you don't touch women you don't know. Or even women you know if they don't want to be touched

That's completely normal, guys try to get a peek under a girls skirt all the time and I guess it's only natural that you want to feel what others can see.

Would I let you feel under my skirt? Yes, if you'd ask politely I certainly would. Would I date with a guy like you? That depends on wether you're my type or not, and I don't think the fact that you're blind would make any difference.

Totally, normal. You're a hot blooded male. The sense of touch is probably far more erotic when you have to use your imagination.
You are the most normal person on this website.
