              Black makeup would be an issue only for certain individuals who were extremely dark-skinned.

              Just as very light makeup may not work well on pale people.

              However that can easily be solved by the fact that Emo & Goth are not just defined by makeup but by clothing, overall appearance, and behavior.

    Being emo is about idivuality so why care what we think? Anyways in my opinion I think there are a lot of looks that work on black girls that u are neglecting. Try the classic Lisa bonet look or young Whitney look. Classier is sexier, why look like a trashy emo girl, it's gross

    I think it's better if you're black and emo because you stand out more. The reason why anyone comes up with a "edgy" fashion like goth or emo is so they don't conform to the norm. So if you're black and emo, then you're not even conforming to the white emo kids, you're more different.

    But at the same time, this only matters if you're only trying to look different.

    I don't see why people still need to specify black or white for anything. I see why you mentioned it though, because a black emo goth seems way out of the norm. Its all good. Skin color has nothing to do with how you feel inside, it doesn't dictate the music you 'should' be listening to, or the clothes you should be wearing. Do what you please

    im emo for one and just cause your a differnt color doesnt mean you can be emo its a way of dressing, looks and whatever. of course its normal and it dosent matter what other people thonk be and do what you like and want
