Is it normal for a 16yr old to have sleep paralysis?

When I was 14 I got my widom teeth out and they used the numbing medicine and every since then I always have dreams that I wake up and can't move or tell my sister to help. And I always thought it was real but it happened yesterday and the tv in my dream was on a cartoon, in real life it was on law & order so I know its a dream.

By normal i mean that you can get it, though it's not a usual condition there's not much extraordinary about it. I'm curious what it feels like

Yes this can happen. It means you were interrupted during your rem sleep. When you sleep your body is suppose to stop your body from moving. This prevents you from acting out everything you are doing in your head. Why some people have dreams but all that moves is their eyes under their eye lids. So yes this is normal. It means your body has not finished its Psychal of sleep. So it has not told your body to wake up.

are you sure that was a cartoon and law n order on tv?

sleep paralysis can't be a dream. Because that is when your body is completely exhausted and you just can't move except for your eyes and listening.
